The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 20.49% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.

Out of the consumer industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 4.18% share in October 2022, recording an increase of 0.06% over the last three-month average share.

1) Computer and Information Analysts recorded a share of 40.79% in October 2022, registering a 6.9% growth over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 22.37% share, an increase of 70% over the previous month.

3) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers held a share of 22.37%, registering a 15% decline from September 2022.

4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 13.16%, up 233.33% over the previous month.

Top five consumer companies in Mexico’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 93.33% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Mexico’s consumer industry during October 2022 over September 2022.

PepsiCo posted 19 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered a rise of 533.33% over the previous month, followed by Anheuser-Busch InBev with 13 jobs and an 85.71% growth. Panasonic with 11 IT jobs and Coca-Cola with 8 jobs, recorded a 1000% growth and an 11.11% decrease, respectively, while Diageo recorded a decline of 30% with 7 job postings during October 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 81.58%, up by 26.53% from September 2022. Entry Level positions with a 14.47% share, registered an increase of 83.33% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 2.63% share, down 81.82% over September 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.32%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
