IT jobs accounted for a 3.62% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in August 2022, registering an increase of 0.08% over the last three-month average share.
Database and Network Administrators and Architects Occupations leads by classification in August 2022
Database and Network Administrators and Architects Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 32.5% in August 2022, a 30% rise over the previous month. Computer and Information Analysts came in next, claiming a share of 30% in August 2022, marking a 50% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers with a share of 17.5% in August 2022, a 133.33% rise from July 2022.

Top five drinks companies in Asia-Pacific’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average flat growth in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s drinks industry during August 2022 over previous month.
Carlsberg posted 10 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered an increase of 25% over the previous month, followed by PepsiCo with 8 jobs and a 61.9% drop. Anheuser-Busch InBev with 7 IT jobs and San Miguel with 4 jobs, recorded a 600% rise and a 100% rise, respectively, while The Coca-Cola recorded a flat growth with 3 job postings during August 2022.

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s drinks industry IT hiring activity with a 50% share in August 2022, a 42.86% decrease over July 2022. Philippines featured next with a 20% share, up 100% over the previous month. China recorded a 15% share, a flat growth compared with July 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 75%, up by 11.11% from July 2022. Mid Level positions with a 12.5% share, registered a decline of 72.22% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 7.5% share, up 50% over July 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 5%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
