Spanish Vermouth producer Dos Déus has lined up the US roll-out of its namesake Vermouth brand.
The company, based in Bellmunt del Priorat in Catalonia, has partnered with Chopin Imports to take care of the brand’s marketing and sales in North America. Chopin, which also owns the namesake Polish vodka, will utilise Southern Glazers Wine & Spirits as one of the distributors for the market.
The range comprises Dry White Vermouth Reserve, White Vermouth and Red Vermouth Reserve. The red expression is aged in Sherry and Priorat barrels for six months ahead of blending.
“Creating our Vermouths in the heart of the Priorat region, using local grapes and Priorat barrels in the maturation process is a key differentiating factor for our brand,” said Dos Déus owner Alex Illa. “We are confident together [with Chopin] we can help bring a piece of the Spanish aperitif tradition into the US.”
Chopin Imports COO Chuck Kane added: “We’ve been following the growing Vermouth trend in the US … . Whether it be … a low abv cocktail option or a refreshing summer drink, Dos Déus covers all the bases.”
Just under a year ago, Chopin Imports commenced the release in the US of Hinch Irish whiskey through a similar arrangement.
