Swedish state-owned drinks producer Vin & Sprit has been dragged into the country’s drinks scandal.
Reports from Sweden today say the alcoholic beverage company, which produces Absolut Vodka, is to have its affairs revised by the country’s Minister of Industry and Trade, Leif Pagrotsky, following revelations that the retail monopoly, Systembolaget, has been rocked by corruption.
The bribery scandal has escalated throughout the year since it was discovered that managers of Systembolaget stores have been involved in taking bribes from alcoholic drinks companies to stock their products more prominently.
The revision will only focus on Vin & Sprit’s affairs related to the bribery allegations.
