The EU Commission has cleared the acquisition of a stake in pan-European soft drinks group, Refresco, by the UK-based venture capitalist, 3i Group.
The acquisition was approved under the EU’s simplified anti-trust regulations. The deal will therefore be cleared if no objections are received within the next month. Neither company commented on the news.
Refresco has an annual turnover of around €500m.
