The UK brewer, Carlsberg-Tetley, has been forced to import additional supplies of lager from Denmark in order to meet increased demand caused by this summer’s heatwave.

The Northampton-based brewer requested the additional supplies even though it is working 24 hours a day producing some 3,000 pints every minute. The UK’s lager consumption is reportedly up by around 40% over the past two months.
