VinExpo throws open its doors on Sunday as the wine – and spirits – world returns to Bordeaux for the French edition of the exhibition. In the lead up, we're running a series of daily previews highlighting a selection of companies and regional trade bodies at the week-long show.
- Val d'Orbieu (Hall 1/Stand AB20) will launch a new range of premium wines from Olivier Dauga called Black Reserve. The wine group also plans to reveal its new corporate identity to customers in a conference hosted by chairman Joël Castany and CEO Bertrand Girard.
- Bordeaux producer Barton & Guestier (Hall 1/Stand DE281) will celebrate its 290th anniversary and will showcase Héritage, a new wine highlighting the company’s history. Members of the wine trade will also be invited on a tour around Bordeaux’s historic centre.
- Bordeaux's governing body, the Conseil Interprofessionnel du Vin de Bordeaux (Hall 1/Stand AB224) will host workshops at its pavilion for the first time this year. Several topics will be covered in French, English and Chinese, including the different Bordeaux wine families, wine-food pairings and the art of blending.
