The Scotch whisky company Kyndal is to create an integrated sales and marketing team to look after its core brands both in the UK and internationally. The company said it will be looking to hire 15 people – including a brands controller and international head of sales.

Glen Gribbon, Kyndal’s marketing director who will take on responsibility for branded sales in addition to marketing, commented: “Bringing branded sales and marketing together will achieve the strategic focus required as we put significant investment behind our core brands – Whyte and Mackay, Vladivar, Glayva and our malt portfolio including Isle of Jura and Dalmore.

“The need for extra resources to help further develop marketing plans for these brands, achieve execution of marketing plans and gain sales through-put as a result of our increased budgets has led to the creation of these new roles. The additional headcount is further evidence of our investors commitment to develop Kyndal as a branded business”.

In addition to the brands controller and head of international sales roles, an additional three people will be recruited into the brand team (two assistant brand managers and a malt ambassador), seven more in UK sales at national account and regional account level and three international sales managers based in key invest markets.
