The Coca-Cola Co has decided not to invest in a Super Bowl advert for the second year running, reports have claimed. According to an AdWeek article late last week, the company is shunning 'The Big Game' to focus on its existing sports marketing tie-ups, including a Coke Zero Sugar activation for college basketball's National Collegiate Athletic Association's March Madness tournament. Coca-Cola did not respond to Just Drinks' request for confirmation. Prior to opting out of the 2021 and 2019 games, The Coca-Cola Co had run adverts for the previous 11 Super Bowls. PepsiCo, meanwhile, has so far released two Super Bowl-themed adverts; one promoting its Bubly, Pepsi and Mtn Dew brands and another for its half-time show sponsorship, a tie-up that's running into its 11th year. Earlier this month, Constellation Brands announced it has entered into a partnership with Coca-Cola for an alcoholic line from the latter’s Fresca CSD brand.
