Suntory Holdings has added to its portfolio of Jim Beam Highball RTDs in Japan with the launch of a lemonade flavour.

Jim Beam Lemonade Highball is a limited-edition release that will join Suntory’s existing Jim Beam RTDs in Japan. The canned highball brand extension debuted in 2015 and was the first Suntory innovation to come from the group’s takeover of Jim Beam owner Beam Inc the previous year.

The highball is one of Japan’s most popular whiskey serves and has helped drive growth for Jim Beam in the country. The Jim Beam Highball RTD line has also proved successful – according to Suntory, Jim Beam Highball sales jumped 113% in 2020.

A number of recent RTD launches in Japan have focussed on lemon flavours. Last month, Kirin released a sour alcoholic RTD made with fermented lemon juice.
