A chilled goods retailer has predicted the opening of markets in the north of Sri Lanka following the peace agreement between the Columbo government and the Tamil Tigers.

It believes the peace should boost its soft drinks sales by 6% this year. Ceylon Cold Stores Ltd (CCS) says it has sent a sales team the northern capital Jaffna to promote Elephant and Necto soft drinks brands.
