The Spanish brewer Damm has acquired a 49% stake in the Spanish fruit juice distributor Granini Iberica, the owner of the exclusive rights to market Granini juices in Spain and Andorra, it was reported yesterday.
The price of the sale, which was made through its unit Corporacion Economica Damm, was not revealed.
The remaining 51% of the juice company is controlled by the German Eckes Granini International,
According to the reports, Damm is hoping to strengthen its position on the Spanish juices and nectars market and to achieve synergies between its beer, water and juice businesses.
