The Romanian privatisation authority (APAPS) has revived privatisation plans for the wine and spirits producer, Vinalcool, based in in Giurgiu in southern Romania. The agency is looking to sell a 75.34% stake in the company.

When the company was last offered up for privatisation, APAPS did not receive any bids. The new offer will close on February 18.

Vinalcool, which is 21%-owned by the Romanian financial investment company, SIF Oltenia, was put into special administration in July 2002, to prepare the group for privatisation.
