Molson Coors Beverage Co has expanded its arrangement with The Coca-Cola Co to launch an alcoholic line from juice brand Simply. In a statement today, Molson Coors said it will manufacture, distribute and market Simply Spiked Lemonade in the US. The portfolio will hit shelves this summer in a 12-can variety pack format, featuring Strawberry Lemonade, Watermelon Lemonade, Blueberry Lemonade and Signature Lemonade variants. Pricing and stockist information wasn't immediately available, although the company added that the flavours will also be available in single 68cl-can format. The launch, which has been designed to "aggressively grow Molson Coors’ above-premium portfolio", piggybacks the company's 2020 tie-up with Coca-Cola to produce and manufacture Topo Chico Hard Seltzer in the US. “The Coca-Cola Co and Molson Coors have a thriving relationship in North America and the proof is in the success of Topo Chico Hard Seltzer’s national expansion and the introduction of Topo Chico Ranch Water Hard Seltzer,” said Coca-Cola North America's chief of new revenue streams, Dan White. "With this momentum, we are excited to expand our relationship with products inspired by another one of our most valuable brands: Simply." The Coca-Cola Co brought Simply into its portfolio via the 2007 acquisition of parent company Glaceau and most recently launched a milk-alternative from the brand in 2020.
