Lobos 1707 is heading to Canada, with two expressions of the Tequila brand set to debut in Ontario. The Tequila and mezcal business, which hit the US in late-2020, has confirmed the roll-out of its Reposado and Joven iterations through off-premise outlets run by the Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO). Details on the plans for the Extra Añejo and Mezcal Artesanal in the country were not disclosed. Lobos 1707, which takes its name from the Spanish for ‘wolf’, is backed by US basketball player LeBron James, who attended the launch event in Toronto last week with Canadian musician Drake. Positioned as an “ultra-premium” brand, the Tequila portfolio is sourced from blue weber agave grown in Mexico’s Jalisco highlands. The mezcal is produced from espadin agave hailing from Oaxaca in the south-west of the country. The range is finished in ex-Pedro Ximenez wine barrels. !function(){"use strict";window.addEventListener("message",(function(e){if(void 0!==e.data["datawrapper-height"]){var t=document.querySelectorAll("iframe");for(var a in e.data["datawrapper-height"])for(var r=0;r
