Californian winery Limerick Lane Cellars has released a new wine brand in the US, packaged in aluminium bottles.

The Sonoma County-based company said yesterday that Revelshine Red, White and Rose have launched in the country this week. Describing the brand’s bottles as “infinitely recyclable”, Limerick Lane is targetting outdoor consumption occasions with the Revelshine line.

The wines carry an SRP of US$16 per bottle of the rose, $18 for the white and $20 for the red. All three are from the 2019 vintage and have been produced using grapes grown in the Russian River Valley area of Sonoma.

“Now more than ever, the need to be outdoors … is imperative for our outdoor premium wine community,” said Limerick Lane’s director of marketing, Gina Lathrum. “The Earth has become even more important over these last six months as we all seek to find isolated peace. We are providing a socially-responsible solution and … having a bit of fun at the same time.”

Earlier this week, trade association Sonoma County Vintners played down fears that the region’s wine harvest could be impacted by two nearby wildfires.
