Veuve Clicquot, the world’s second largest Champagne house behind Moet & Chandon, has decided to open an office in India to sell its premium brands Grande Dame, Rose Reserve and Vintage Reserve. The company will supply the Indian market with 16m cases a year though Bruno Yvon, Clicquot’s brand manager told local press that the company would not confine itself to premium brands only. “Drinking habits develop slowly, but we believe the market will want more fine wines in the future,” he said.
