Molson Coors Beverage Co has revisited the organic version of its flagship Coors lager brand in the US.

Diageo is trialling a production method that could reduce the carbon footprint of its bottles by 90%. The project, in collaboration with glass manufacturer Encirc and industry technology company Glass Futures, has produced 173,000 bottles for the group’s Scotch whisky brand, Black & White.

The new owners of Nestle’s North American bottled water operations have changed the unit’s name to BlueTriton Brands. Private equity groups One Rock Capital Partners and Metropoulos & Co, which bought Nestle Waters North America in February, said the name change reflects their commitment to keeping the unit independent and focused on sustainability.

E&J Gallo is to acquire Agave Loco, the US owner of the RumChata cream liqueur brand. The purchase includes Midwest Custom Bottling (MCB), the Wisconsin company that manufactures RumChata for Agave Loco, as well as MCB brands The Tippy Cow and Holly Nog.

Calabria Family Wines has taken control of McWilliam’s Wines, ending a year-long search for a buyer for the under-pressure Australian winery. The Barossa Valley winery will acquire the McWilliam’s operations, including brands, intellectual property, stock holdings and on-site sales operations.
