By GlobalDataA spokesperson for the company told just-drinks today that Smokehead Rum Rebel, a no-age-statement Scotch produced on Islay, will initially be limited to 1,500 cases. The iteration, which will be released in time for National Rum Day on 16 August, will be sold online on the brand’s official site and through specialist spirits retailers in the UK.
Rum Rebel has been finished in Caribbean rum casks.
“We are overwhelmed by the boldness of flavour in our new bottling and can’t wait to see our Smokeheads’ reaction,” said brand director, Ian Weir.
Rum Rebel joins the existing range of Smokehead Original, Smokehead High Voltage and Smokehead Sherry Bomb.
