By GlobalDataThe Mango expression, announced today, rolls out in the same week that the UK-based company changed its name from Halewood Wines & Spirits. As well as mango, the latest brand extension also features vanilla and citrus flavours.
Citing pre-COVID figures from Nielsen, privately-owned Halewood claimed that Dead Man’s Fingers is the top-selling “premium rum brand” in the country.
“With the launch of Dead Man’s Fingers Rum, we saw a gap in the market for flavoured rums which would appeal to experimental rum drinkers, and could be enjoyed as part of simple, at-home serves,” said Sam Caulfield, Halewood’s brand manager for dark spirits. “The response to the brand and our latest flavour innovations has been incredible, and we continue to see strong performance across the portfolio.”
Halewood acquired the Dead Man’s Fingers brand from UK restaurateur Neythan Hayes in early-2018.
