Ahead of the release on Thursday of Gruppo Campari’s half-year results, here’s a look at the events that shaped the three months to the end of June for the company.
- At the end of May, Gruppo Campari launched its non-alcoholic Crodino brand in the UK market
- At the same time, the firm was linked to the sale of its Carolans and Irish Mist brands. At the time, the firm declined to comment on the speculation. The sale was confirmed in July – after the quarter
- In June, the company completed its full exit from the still wine category, offloading Château de Sancerre to Maison Ackerman
- At the same time, Campari lined up a global relaunch of Grand Marnier, and said it was targeting mid-single-digit growth for the brand in the coming years
- The quarter ended with the launch of a limited-edition Forty Creek whisky in Canada.
