The GlenAllachie Distillery Co has added another limited edition batch to its namesake Scotch whisky brand’s ten-year-old expression.

The 10-year-old Cask Strength Batch 5, announced today, is limited to 4,500 cases worldwide and will be available at selected retailers. The single malt is bottled at 55.9% abv.

A combination of Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso Sherry, Rioja and virgin oak casks were used during the maturation process.

“It has been a true joy of mine to concoct every new batch of our 10-year-old, bottling each at cask strength to let the natural character and charm of the spirit reign supreme,” said the company’s master distiller Billy Walker.

In October, GlenAllachie unveiled its ‘Virgin Oak Series’; a limited edition, three-expression range of 12-years old single malts aged in barrels comprising different species of oak.
