Diageo has launched a Super Bowl activation for its Captain Morgan spiced rum brand in the US. The UK-headquartered group is giving eligible US consumers the chance to win the Captain Morgan 'Super Bowl Punch Bowl' - a branded serving vessel that can hold up to four gallons of liquid. Targeting get-togethers for the 13 February game, the company said the device, which was revealed on US talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live yesterday, also features, "stadium-inspired lights and sound, Bluetooth speakers, subwoofers and LED graphic equalisers". One Super Bowl Punch Bowl is available to be won and consumers can visit the Captain Morgan website for the giveaway's terms and conditions. “We knew we had to do something big - literally and figuratively - to celebrate the most exciting and highly-anticipated sporting event of the year,” said Captain Morgan VP Sam Salameh. "The Captain Morgan Super Bowl Punch Bowl combines just the right amount of spice and applied science to boost any Super Bowl celebration." In June, Diageo became the NFL's first 'official spirits' sponsor in a deal that covers the company's entire spirits portfolio.
