Around 500 Carlsberg staff have returned to work following a strike over wages.
The workers at the brewer’s Fredericia brewery in Denmark returned to their posts this morning, only 24 hours after walking out, a Carlsberg spokesperson told just-drinks today (5 May).
Staff went on strike over contract talks regarding wages.
“They want more more money, but we have argued that the brewery is not efficient enough to justify this,” said the Carlsberg spokesperson.
Talks between the brewer and workers’ representatives are set to continue until midday tomorrow. Carlsberg beer supplies were unaffected by the strike.
Last month, around 250 workers downed tools at the group’s Copenhagen brewery over a plan to restrict their access to free beer.
