The Colombian beermaker Bavaria announced today that it had recorded a net income of 336.2 billion pesos for the full year, up 79.4% in peso terms on 2001.


Bavaria, which has been expanding aggressively in Latin America, said the results were within its expectations. No further details were given but the company said it would provide more details tomorrow.


Bavaria is Columbia’s largest brewer with a 95% share of the market. It has a US$1 billion warchest to expand across the continent.
