Colombia’s leading brewer Bavaria has announced the purchase of a further stake in the Peruvian brewer Union de Cervecerias Peruanas Backus & Johnston SAA.
Bavaria already controls a majority stake in the company and has added to it with the purchase of another 3.77 million class A shares in the brewer for $27 each.
The move takes Bavaria’s stake to 74% of Backus.
