The Chinese brewer, Yanjing Brewery, posted a net profit of CNY116.20m for the first half of the current fiscal year, up from CNY113.77m in the corresponding six months last year.
The company attributed the half-year profit rise to an increase in beer sales outside Beijing.
Turnover for the first half rose from CNY1.27 billion to CNY1.56 billion.
Yanjing recently acquired a 38.15% stake in Huiquan Brewage Group Inc., China’s ninth largest brewery.
