reported net earnings for the nine months ended 31 May 2001 of C$18.7m (US$12.1m),
up from $14.6m for the corresponding period last year.

Corby Distilleries, Canada's market leading spirits and wine company, yesterday reported net earnings for the nine months ended 31 May 2001 of C$18.7m (US$12.1m), up from $14.6m for the corresponding period last year. In a statement the company said the increase of over 28% represents both a return this year to regular customer shipment patterns and a reduction in the Corporation's effective income tax rate.
