Appleton Estate Ruby Anniversary Edition comprises a blend of five rums, each aged for a minimum of 35 years. The iteration is limited to 500 75cl units.
According to Campari, Appleton Estate rums age nearly three times faster than spirits aged in cooler climates, meaning 35 years ageing in the tropical climate of Jamaica is equivalent to over 100 years elsewhere.
Pricing details for the expression, which is available now from the brand’s distillery and selected global retailers, were not disclosed.
“This special edition was created using some of the finest stock in our over 200,000 barrels,” said Appleton Estate’s master blender, Joyce Spence.
In June, Campari released Appleton Estate 15 Year Old Black River Casks, which was produced from sugarcane harvested in Jamaica’s Nassau Valley.
