Angel’s Envy Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Finished in Madeira Casks is the third iteration in the company’s ‘Cellar Collection’ and marks Father’s Day celebrations in the US on 20 June. The Bourbon, which comprises a blend of whiskeys aged for one year in ex-Madeira barrels, is limited to 3,360 units, 600 of which will be released to Angel’s Envy online members via an online lottery between 21 and 25 May.
A general sale of 400 bottles will open to the public on 6 June and units will be available to purchase from the company’s Louisville distillery and selected retailers in Kentucky, New York, California, Florida, Tennessee, Illinois and Texas.
“There’s deep history and craftsmanship involved in the production of Madeira wine, so my sons and I knew we wanted to tap into that to create something special for our Cellar Collection,” said Angel’s Envy’s chief innovation officer, Wes Henderson.
The company’s Cellar Collection also includes ex-Oloroso Sherry-cask and Tawny Port-finished expressions, released in 2019 and 2020, respectively.
