Bacardi has added to its RTD stable in the US and readied a summer push for the namesake rum brand in the market. Bacardi Real Rum Canned Cocktails will be extended to include a Piña Colada variant as well as a Mojito Variety Pack that features Mango Mojito and Strawberry Mojito extensions. The premix portfolio will also feature in ‘Move Like It's Summer’, a marketing activation that kicks off this month in the US and runs until September. https://youtu.be/m3LdC3zlU3A A 30-second TV advert, soundtracked by longstanding Bacardi partner Major Lazer, will be backed by two 15-second spots, 'Beach Day,' and 'Block Party'. The ad will run during coverage of the NBA Playoffs as well as on cable originals and “premium Connected TV environments". The shorter versions will appear online through the likes of Snapchat, YouTube and Spotify. Major Lazer fronted a limited-edition expression from Bacardi back in 2017. Late last month, the brand owner kicked off the multi-market roll-out of premix brand Tails in the off-premise. Bacardi took full control of Tails in late-2020.
