Small, listed Australian winery Tamar Ridge of Tasmania has been bought by one of the country's timber giants, Gunns, for A$14.8m (US$8.9m). Tamar Ridge has its vineyards and winery near Launceston in Tasmania and the acquisition will be followed by at least a doubling of vineyard and production, the company's founder Josef Chromey said.
