An Argentinean court has blocked the granting of regulatory approval for the merger of the Argentine brewer, Quilmes, with the Brazilian group, Ambev. The court ruled that regulatory approval could not be granted by the country’s anti-trust authorities until it had examined a request by a local competitor, Isenbeck, to take an active role in the inquiry.
