Anheuser-Busch InBev has launched the latest UK marketing activation for its Corona beer brand. To mark Valentine’s Day on 14 February, the brewer's UK division has partnered with coral restoration company Coral Vita to launch ‘Gift the Ocean’, a platform where consumers can purchase pieces of climate-resistant coral. The coral gifts range from GBP37 (US$50.23) up to GBP3,700. Each purchaser will receive a digital adoption certificate and gain entry to an exclusive Memberspace. “Through the ‘Gift the Ocean’ project, we want to raise awareness and facilitate showing the special person in your life that you care about them, but at the same time have a positive, rather than a negative impact on the world around us,” said Corona’s European marketing director, Irini Komodikis. The campaign is the latest in a string of sustainability-forward initiatives from Corona, including unveiling a sustainable private island retreat. In June, A-B InBev said Corona had achieved a net-zero plastic footprint. What’s coming up in beer in 2022? - Click here for Just Drinks' predictions for the year ahead
