Heineken has reached a deal with UK broadcaster ITV to showcase its Heineken 0.0 Draught on display in the fictional TV bar sets of Coronation Street and Emmerdale. Heineken 0.0 Draught taps will be visible in bar scenes recorded in Coronation Street’s Rovers Return and Emmerdale’s Woolpack as part of the product placement deal. The agreement, the financial terms of which were not disclosed by Heineken, will last for twelve months from 29 April. The two shows have a combined audience of roughly 11 million daily viewers. “In light of people’s evolving lifestyles and changes to their relationships with alcohol, we’ve done a lot to raise the profile of Low and No beer in recent years," said Heineken's UK corporate affairs director James Crampton. "We are totally committed to bringing Low and No beer from the periphery into the mainstream." Heineken expanded its 0.0 Draught offering in the UK nationwide in 2021. The brewer has also placed its zero-alcohol beer onto the menus of Ryanair flights, and has pledged to have as many taps of its 0.0 Draught as its flagship Heineken beer in UK pubs by 2025.
