Accolade Wines has named Jeff Bond to lead its EMEA Global Travel Retail unit.
Bond, who previously served as a commercial sales manager for Diageo, will take on the newly-created position of senior regional manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa GTR. He joins Accolade from an eight-year stint at British American Tobacco, most recently serving as the company’s global customer group manager for GTR.
“Whilst we are currently in extremely challenging times, we are not only supporting our valued customers but also planning for the future,” Bond said in reference to large GTR declines because of coronavirus disruption. “We see huge potential in Travel Retail and believe quality, globally recognised wine brands can play an important role in the resurrection of the sector.”
Last month, Accolade diversified the portfolio of its premium wines unit, adding South African and New Zealand varietals.
