Mexico’s drinks industry registered a 14.3% drop in IT hiring activity in October 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 25.54% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.
Out of the drinks industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.74% share in October 2022, recording an increase of 0.16% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Mexico’s drinks industry’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Mexico’s drinks industry in October 2022.
1) Computer and Information Analysts recorded a share of 44.68% in October 2022, registering a 75% growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 21.28% share, an increase of 100% over the previous month.
3) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers held a share of 19.15%, registering a 47.06% decline from September 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 12.77%, up 100% over the previous month.
Top five drinks companies in Mexico’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 17.95% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Mexico’s drinks industry during October 2022 over September 2022.
PepsiCo posted 19 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered a rise of 533.33% over the previous month, followed by Anheuser-Busch InBev with 13 jobs and an 85.71% growth. Coca-Cola with 8 IT jobs and Fomento Economico Mexicano SAB de CV with 5 jobs, recorded an 11.11% decline and a 72.22% decrease, respectively, while Coca-Cola FEMSA SAB de CV recorded a decline of 50% with 1 job postings during October 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 72.34%, up by 21.43% from September 2022. Entry Level positions with a 23.4% share, registered an increase of 175% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 4.26% share, down 75% over September 2022.
