Earlier today, Constellation Brands announced it is branching out into Tequila with the acquisition of Casa Noble. Here just-drinks takes a more detailed look at the brand:
- Casa Noble has been produced in the hills of Jalisco, Mexico, since 1776
- The Tequila is 100% Blue Agave, made on a single estate
- Casa Noble is a distillery and also an agave grower with around 3,000 acres of agave fields under cultivation
- The portfolio includes Casa Noble Crystal, Reposado and Añejo as well as other limited edition high-end variants
- Musician Carlos Santana is one of the brand’s joint-owners, having joined the company board in 2011 (see video below). Santana’s family roots can be traced back to Jalisco
- Since 2003, the brand has been distributed in the US and Canada by Wilson Daniels
- Casa Noble’s Tequilas have won multiple awards, including “double gold” for its Anejo at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2007 and 2009
