
On Wednesday, Brown-Forman will release its full-year results for 2016/17. Here, just-drinks takes a closer look at the company’s performance in the three months to the end of April.
- At the start of February, Brown-Forman lined up new packaging for its Old Forester Bourbon brand
- At the end of the month, the company became the latest in drinks to publish nutritional information for its brands
- In March, Brown-Forman’s CFO Jane Morreau hailed a rebound for the group’s Global Travel Retail unit. The company reported a high-single-digit organic sales boost for the division in the first nine months of fiscal-2017
- Analysts, meanwhile, highlighted that the boom in Bourbon means both opportunity and challenges for Brown-Forman
- Also in March, Brown-Forman teamed up with R&B singer K Michelle to add a Southern Peach flavour to its 25-year-old Jack Daniel’s RTD malted beverage range, Country Cocktails
- In April, the company announced the launch of a cider variant under the Jack Daniel’s brand name. Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Cider initially launched in the UK on-premise on 1 May.
