It is the 12th edition of the conference and, this year, it will feature executives from dairy majors including Danone, Tine and Valio.

Day one will hear executives from Valio and Ausnutria discuss the complexity of innovating with ingredients to boost nutrition but without compromising taste.

Elsewhere during the first day, Danone will set out how the French dairy giant using clinical studies to support its processing and the use of fermentation in its innovation work.

And Dutch bank ING is to explore how dairy companies are looking to cut emissions and explain how nature targets are adding another dimension to boardroom discussions on sustainability.

The agenda on day two includes an opening keynote session from major Norway-based dairy group Tine, who will explore how consumers perceive health claims on products and how companies should use “simple, science-backed messaging”.

The opening session features a panel discussion that will explore some of the top-level trends focusing the minds of the dairy industry at the moment, including rising milk production and the challenge of offering affordable and nutritious products to consumers.

During the morning, delegates will also have the opportunity to join roundtables focused on a single issue to dig deeper into a topic and help build contacts.

The afternoon of the second day features the European Dairy Association, which will discuss how EU food policy is set to impact the sector, as well as two streams of sessions focusing on topics from sugar reduction to sustainability in production.
