Coca-Cola Amatil has appointed a new managing director for the Oceania area. George Adams will be based at the company’s New Zealand headquarters in Auckland and will manage the New Zealand and Fijian operations.
Previous positions held by Adams include finance director for British Telecom Northern Ireland, and financial controller for BT Regions. Prior to joining BT, he was part of Coca-Cola’s European operations for 10 years, holding senior management roles with Coca-Cola Bottlers Ireland and Coca-Cola Bottlers (Ulster). He also spent four years as group finance director with Molino Beverages Holding, a division of Coca-Cola bottler Hellenic Bottling Co.
He was appointed chief information officer when Hellenic Bottling merged with Coca-Cola Beverages to form Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Co, the world’s second-largest Coca-Cola bottler.
