The Scotch whisky group Burn Stewart, which recently merged with CL World Brands, has created the new post of managing director and appointed Steve Campbell to it.
Campbell was finance director of the group. His appointment will see him take over the day-to-day running of the business from CEO Ian Bankier, who has been given a broader role within CL World Brands since the merger.
Campbell joined Burn Stewart in 2000. He was previously with UDV.
Campbell said: “It is often said that a good finance director is very involved in the business. I like to think this is the case and I can complement the skills I have learnt in market distribution and international sales. I want to take an active role in building the brands and getting more involved in sales and marketing.”
