The soft drink bottler Greece’s Coca-Cola HBC announced today that it is planning to acquire Romerquelle GmbH, the Austrian mineral water company, for an undisclosed price.
The deal is an unsurprising move, fitting in with CCHBC’s desire to expand operations in non-carbonated beverages. CCHBC also has a long-standing distribution deal with Romerquelle.
The deal will provide the world’s third largest Coke bottler with facilities at Edelstal and Pottsching and the mineral water and wellness brands Romerquelle and Markusquelle, the company said in a statement.
