The Turkish dairy concern, Pinar Sut, and the bottled water company, Pinar Su, both part of the diversified Yasar Group, are to merge, it has been announced.
The market value of Pinar Sut on the Istanbul Stock Exchange is currently TL31 trillion (US$18.9m/€17.4m), while Pinar Su is worth around TL6.53 trillion (US$4.0m/€3.7m). As a whole, the Yasar Group, which is involved in the food, paint, tourism and energy sectors, recorded turnover of US$1.2 billion in 2002, up 3.5% in real terms from the previous year.
