Tinkoff, the Russian brewer and restaurant owner, has entered into an agreement with the German company Krones AG to build a brewery near St. Petersburg, the Russian newspaper Vedomosti reported today.


The brewery will cost US$75m to build, which will in part be raised by loans from Russian and German banks. It will have an annual capacity of 20 million litres and should be operational in September 2004.
