The Russian juice producer Nidan Foods has agreed a distribution and investment deal with the soft drinks company Pepsi Bottling Group, Nidan said today.
The deal includes a US$60m investment by Pepsi to package its Tropicana brand at Nidan’s Moscow factory. The agreement, beginning in 2004, will see Nidan package 1m litres a day of Tropicana.
As part of the deal Pepsi will also help distribute Nidan’s own juice brands: Champion, Da! and Moya Semya.
Nidan has close to 13% of the Russian juice market.
