Since 2020, China has imposed an 80.5% anti-dumping and countervailing duties tax on Australian barley.
Eurostat said the EU’s total beer production in 2022 was equivalent to almost 80 litres per inhabitant.
The Japanese group plans to set up its second manufacturing site in the country.
The plant-based brand will now be available in countries including Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and Belgium.
