Whyte & Mackay’s Jura Scotch whisky brand has just released an expression to coincide with the Jura Music Festival.
Distillery Cask Fèis Ìle Edition 2021 is a limited edition cask strength single malt that is now available for online purchase. The 18-year-old iteration, which was matured in a refill Sherry butt from Jerez in Spain, is limited to 340 units.
The Jura brand, located on its namesake island next to Islay off Scotland’s west coast, is marking the music festival, which forms part of the annual ‘Feis Ile’ Islay Festival of Music & Malt this month. A donation of GBP25 per unit sold will be made to the Jura Music Festival.
“Despite the challenges of the past year, we are delighted to be back for Fèis Ìle 2021 with a very special limited-edition release which gives back to our community,” said distillery manager Graham Logan.
“This 18-Year-Old single cask bottling is a real treat for Jura fans. Our gulf stream-protected warehouses allow a longer maturation cycle and the sea spray and cask have given this whisky a long-lasting, salted caramel taste.”
Whyte & Mackay is owned by Philippines-based Emperador, which acquired the distiller and brand owner seven years ago.
