VinExpo throws open its doors on Sunday as the wine – and spirits – world returns to Bordeaux for the French edition of the exhibition. In the lead up, we're running a series of daily previews highlighting a selection of companies and regional trade bodies at the week-long show.
- Napa Valley Vintners (Hall 1/Stand DE190) will host a stand at VinExpo for the first time this year as the trade body brings more than two dozen wine makers to Bordeaux. The group will also host seminars throughout the week.
- VinExpo will feature a Digizone this year for conferences on wine, spirits and industry trends in social media. Speakers include wine advisor Dominique Laporte on the latest wine apps and Greg Lambrecht from Coravin speaking on social media and crisis management.
- Bordeaux-based producer and négociant Maison Sichel (Hall 1/Stand B156) says it will be showcasing "wines for drinking" as opposed to investment or collecting. Its stand will feature wines such as Pessac-Léognan Château Olivier red 2008 and white 2012 and the 2009 vintage from Margaux property, Marquis de Terme, with which Maison Sichel has just begun a new partnership.
