US fruit juice can manufacturer, Pasco, will not go ahead with a proposed equipment-making sale to rival Sonoco, after the US Department of Justice said the deal would have created a virtual monopoly for spiral-wound frozen juice cans.
Pasco has now agreed to find a buyer unaffiliated with Sonoco and the department has closed its investigation.
